Announcing the Inaugural Tonka Swings Jazz Event
The Minnetonka Band Boosters are excited to announce Tonka Swings, A Night of Jazz, taking place on May 12th, 2023. This special event is new in 2023 and offers our jazz students a chance to experience what it is like to be professional musicians while sharing their talents with family and friends at what is sure to be a great night of music, dancing, food and drinks.
You will be entertained by jazz and swing music featuring the Minnetonka High School Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Too bands, along with guest artists Ryan Stahle on tenor sax and Ron Stary on trombone.
Swing Dance Lessons
To get you ready to dance, we are offering free, instructor-lead swing lessons starting at 7:30 prior to the music starting at 8:00.

What: A night of Jazz with the Minnetonka Jazz Ensembles
When: Friday May 12, 2023, doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Who: Anyone who loves supporting jazz at Minnetonka (Adults only)
Where: The Outpost in Chaska (6053 Hyw 212 East) Look for the wind turbine.
